Switzerland, and the Canton of Valais in particular, have made impressive strides in their environmental goals. Much of the power generated in the region is from hydroelectric dams. A strong ethos of recycling is enforced with a local tax on household waste which can’t be recycled.

We believe Verbier will one day be on a similar framework to another Valais ski resort – Zermatt. Where the town centre operates on exclusively electric vehicles.
